The first-person point of view is used when playing the game. Jack, the player character, is incredibly quick and can sprint, leap, slide, and dash through hazardous situations. In addition, he has the ability to employ a grappling hook to swing about the surroundings and "Sensory Boost," which momentarily slows down time so Jack may strafe through the air. A stamina meter, which controls how frequently players may dodge and dash, is another new feature of the game. The player's main weapon is a sword, but Jack also has access to a number of unique skills that he may employ to solve puzzles and engage in combat. For example, Jack's "Shuriken" skill, which enables him to launch several electrical throwing stars, may be utilized to both hit distant switches and shock opponents.
