Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an upcoming open-world action-adventure game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. Based on James Cameron's Avatar film series, the game is set in the Western Frontier of Pandora, a previously unseen region inhabited by Na'vi tribes. Originally announced at E3, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was initially slated for a 2022 release but is now scheduled to launch on December 7, 2023. The game promises to bring the world of Pandora to life in a unique and captivating way, offering a first-person, action-adventure experience.
In this first-person shooter game, you play as a Na'vi orphan who was raised and trained as a soldier by the Resources Development Administration (RDA). After being placed in suspended animation, you wake up in an abandoned facility fifteen years later. As the RDA tries to take advantage of the natural riches of the Western Frontier, the player must travel throughout this previously unexplored area of Pandora to learn about their origins and rally the indigenous Na'vi tribes to defend themselves. The plot of the game is supposedly semi-autonomously connected to the movies.
